MoU signed to promote Cane and Bamboo initiatives in Manipur

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on September 25, 2024, between the Department of Forestry at Manipur University and AIMS (Apunba Imagi Machasing), in a ceremony attended by faculty members from the Department and executive members of AIMS.
The agreement aims to foster collaboration in academic and scientific research, extension services, and various academic programs to promote mass plantation initiatives of cane and bamboo. Both parties will also organize seminars, conferences, and workshops on topics of mutual interest to enhance knowledge sharing and community engagement.
The head of the Department of Forestry expressed gratitude for the continuous support received from the Dean of the School of Agricultural Science and the Vice Chancellor of the University, highlighting the significance of this partnership in advancing environmental sustainability and local development.
