A team of Manipur Hockey represented by Seram Neken, President of Imphal East unit and Pangbambam Bandhan, Associate Joint Secy of Manipur Hockey today visited Moreh town to finalize the formation of Moreh Hockey unit. The visiting officials handed over certificate of affiliation along with 15 nos. of hockey sticks and balls to the President of Moreh Hockey Leishangthem Brojen.
The formation of the Executive Board with 15 members was finalized in the meeting held at Moreh Kondong Lairembi hall. President of Meitei Council Moreh Thoiba, Inoucha , Bhim and other members participated in the meeting. The meeting minutely discussed the potential of hockey development in Moreh town. The visit is a part of Manipur Hockey’s “one unit one district” mission under the directives of Hockey India. Moreh Hockey in Tengnoupal district has plans to organize a basic coaching course in the near future. The meeting was organized by following SoP guidelines issued by the government.
