Moreh shuts following attack to SF

Border town Moreh remained shut as a mark of protest to yesterday’s attack to a team of 9 Assam Rifles personnel at Holenphai in Chandel district along the Indo Myanmar border. Report said that almost all shops and business establishments including schools and colleges remained shuts and traffic came to a complete halt. Troops of 9 AR also reportedly shield the border gate since early morning today.Mentioned may be made that rebels triggered a powerful bomb to a team of 9 AR personnel who were on road patrol along the Indo-Myanmar border area   at around 11.30 am yesterday. No one was however reported injured in the strike.Report from ground zero said that the AR personnel force all business establishment to shut since early morning today. The AR also shields the border gate. At around noon the authority of the AR convened a meeting with the civil society leaders of Moreh. After the meeting, the civil society organization declared total shuts of Moreh town as a mark of protest to yesterday’s attack.Vehicles which have left Moreh early today morning were forced to return back from Khudengthabi check post said our representatives at Moreh.
