A combined team of Moreh police Commandos led by DSP/CDO Moreh Thomas Thokchom along with OC/CDO Moreh Y Shakti Shen Singh along with a team of 11 Assam Rifles under the supervision of SP/ Tengnoupal Dr. S Ibomcha Singh arrested one cadre of banned organization Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup(KYKL) from Gate no.2, Ward no. 5, Moreh at around 10 am today . The arrested cadre was identified as one Naorem Nanao @ Korouhanba (28) s/o Naorem Thambouyaima of Pukhou, Ahallup, Sagolmang, Imphal East.
His rank is Sergeant with army no. is 628. He joined the organization in 2006 and received basic training ( 23rd batch) at Tanan in Sagang province of Myanmar for 3 months. Police source said that the arrested cadre revealed that he joined KYKL through one s/s Private Jeevan Sapam of Bashikhong. Till recently he was stationed in 2nd Battalion of KYKL at Taka camp in Eastern Nagaland. He is currently based at KYKL Camp at Tanan (Sagang Province) in Myanmar.
A case has been registered against him at Moreh Police Station.
