Thoubal,July.7: in the aftermath of the daring robbery of HDFC bank located near the Thoubal DC Complex on July 4, a Thoubal CDO team have managed to recover jewelleries estimated to be around Rs 19 Lakh from a pond at Charangpat Mayai Leikai yesterday after two of the accused have already been arrested. The pond is in the homestead of one Laishram Jayenta who is also involved in the bank robbery according to a source from the police. Police have also arrested one Thokchom Suresh (24) S/o Inaobi and recovered Rs 1 Lakh cash from his possession while oneThiyam James S/o Kennedy have surrendered himself to the SDPO of Yairipok, Sarangthem Hemanta todaay.both are locals of Charangpat Mayai Leikai. interestingly, an additional Rs 20,000/ have also been recovered from Dilip wha was arrested earlier while a Honda Dio used in the looting has been recovered from Jayenta.
