Imphal, May 26:

Several organisations and individuals have donated to the Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.
All Manipur College Teachers’ Association (AMCTA), the apex body of college teachers of Manipur has decided to donate one day salary from pay of the month June, 2021 to Chief Minister’s Covid-19 Relief Fund as done during the first wave of Covid-19 in 2020. Like other government employees, all the teachers of Government Colleges under Higher Education Department and affiliated to Manipur University are earnestly ready to donate one day salary from the pay bills of June, 2021 to the CM’s Covid-19 Relief Fund for fighting against the pandemic Covid-19. In this regard, AMCTA humbly submitted a suggestion to the government that if there is possibility of deduction of required amount (i.e. one day salary) from the monthly pay bills of June, 2021 by the Principals/DDOs concerned instead of individual collection, it would be a better and an easier way for the Principal/DDOs.
