The youths of Singjamei Assembly Constituency have donated monetary aid to Oinam Romen Singh who is intending to be a candidate of the Constituency in the ensuing State General Assembly Elections 2022.
The Amount was donated by the Youths in appreciating and recognising the activities initiated by Romen Singh for the upliftment of the Youths of the Constituency for the last seven years. The Youths had been groomed to become entrepreneurs by Mr. Romen Singh since 2015. Now they become successful in their business and now they become self-reliant and donated the money only from their profits as a mark of respect for grooming them. The Amount was given to him at a simple function held this afternoon at Singjamei as a Token of Support to Romen Singh as a Candidate of the Constituency in the ensuing State General Assembly Elections 2022 in the National People’s Party (NPP) Ticket.
While accepting the earnest Contribution donated by the Youths, Romen Singh said that Youths are the pillars of the Nation and no developmental work can be taken up without their supports. So nurturing and grooming up of the Youths nowadays is a need of the hour. His sole duty is nothing but to groom up the Youths of the Constituency so that they can be self-reliant and not dependent on others, says Romen Singh.
Regarding the continuous increase of educated jobless youths in the State, many of them are of no use. They can be addicted to intoxicants and other narcotic substances. It is very unfortunate, it makes a hurdle in the pace of developmental race in the society as a whole as they occupy half of the population, so giving them relevant jobs rather than government jobs is a must, he contended.
