MLA Kh. Joykisan suspended; Kh. Ratankumar appointed as working president of MPCC

The Congress party has suspended Kh. Joykisan, MLA of Thangmeiband constituency today.
The party has also appointed Kh. Ratankumar as the working president of the Manipur Congress.
Hareshwar Goswami, General Secretary, MPCC said in an order that on the recommendation of the Disciplinary Action Committee, MPCC, the president, MPCC has decided to suspend Kh. Joykisan Singh from the Indian National Congress (INC) under Article XIX of the Constitution of the Indian National Congress read with Clause(h) of ‘Miscellaneous’ provided under Article XXVII of the said Constitution.
On his suspension, Kh. Joykisan Singh ceased to be a primary member of the Indian National Congress with immediate effect, it was added.
Meanwhile AICC, KC Venugopal issued an order on Monday appointing Kh. Ratankumar as the working president of Manipur Congress.
Ratankumar in a social network platform thanked Congress, Sonia Gandhi and other Congress leaders for appointing him as the working president.
