MLA of Langthabal Assembly Constituency Karam Shyam continue to provide monetary assistance to hard working youths of different category. Today the MLA extended monetary assistant to two disable who are earning and feeding their family by exploring their extraordinary skills. Interestingly those persons with disability who got monetary support from MLA Karam Shyam are not from the Assembly constituency of Karam Shyam where he got elected. The gestures showed that the service of the MLA does not have any political motives.
Monetary assistance was provided to Nongmeikappam Subankar from Samurou Mayai Leikaia and Thokchom Sarjubala of Awang Khunou Mayai Leikai of Lamshang Assembly constituency.
Except for his right hand all other parts – left hand, legs were disabled. But he can repair cell phones with his active right and has been earning at least Rs. 6000/- per month and is able to manage to live life with dignity.
Thokchom Sarjubala from Lamshang Assembly constituency is a born artist but unable to walk as most of his body are disabled. Besides, his disability Sarjubala was honoured with national awards for her artistic painting skills. Today she give training to disabled children and manage to live independently even though she depend on wheelchair to move here and there.
MLA Karam Shyam donated a sum of Rs. 50,000/- to Sarjubala to fulfil her dream of opening a class room for teaching painting to students.
