Hill Areas Committee Chairman, Dinganglung Gangmei today inaugurated the Common Facility Centre and District Handlooms and Textiles Office, Noney at Noney District Headquarter. Attending the function as Chief Guest, Dinganglung Gangmei unveiled the inaugural plaque in the presence of Noney Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sharath Chandra Arroju, Director of Handlooms and Textiles, Manipur, K. Lamlee Kamei, Land Donor, Stody Dangmei, weavers, invitees and other officials.
Speaking at the event, Nungba MLA who is also the Hill Areas Committee Chairman, Dinganglung Gangmei appealed the work agencies that is implementing any kind of developmental projects in the district to establish their projects in a suitable and feasible location for all sections of people for easy accessibility.
Be it a Hospital, Post Office, Colleges, Women’s Market, Sub-divisional Office, Working Women Office or other kinds of developmental works, Dinganglung Gangmei also urged the works implementing agency of any project in the Noney district to complete their work in time by maintaining good quality and handed it over to the people for use.
Noney Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sharath Chandra Arroju appealed every weaver of the Noney District to come forward and avail the facility of the Common Facility Centre and also to utilise the various schemes and programmes of the District Handlooms and Textiles Office. He also extended gratitude to the land donor, Stody Dangmei for his contribution in donating the land.
