In a fierce controversy over the repairing work of Jiri – Tipaimukh (J.T) road at B. Hunveng, the Vice- Chairman of Manipur Food Industry Corporation Limited (MFICL) K. Saratkumar remarked local MLA of Jiribam as “nonsense” which was taken seriously by Ashab Uddin and urged K. Saratkumar to withdraw such unspeakable words from his statement.
Speaking with media person, Ashab Uddin said that on the query of media personnel I have responded that J.T road is under the government and any work execution to the road at least need to have knowledge of concern departmental officials. “On my press statement I have not mentioned any one’s name whereas K. Saratkumar remarked to me as “nonsense” which is unwell to hear”, Ashab Uddin added.
Ashab Uddin said K. Saratkumar claimed that he brought me to BJP which is a totally false and partial statement. Ashab Uddin clarified that on March 12, 2017 he went from Imphal airport to Guwahati after discussion and concern with BJP leaders and there is no any knowledge of K. Saratkumar.
Regarding the allegation of breaking BJP, Ashab Uddin said there is no such thing in the party; it was a political game only.
On the allegation of Residential hostel of Lalpani, Jiribam Ashab Uddin said, he had proposed to Lalpani authorities and there is no shifting from one place to another place. At present the hostel is functioning under the departmental guidance, for that I am not answerable to him.
Ashab Uddin added, if there is any objection to K. Saratkumar, it is better to discuss it instead of claiming and responding in the press and media.
