Thokchom Lokeshwar Singh, MLA representing Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency, alleged that armed cadres linked to Camp Sinai were involved in the killings. He questioned the alleged failure of Central security forces to prevent the attack and argued that a timely cordon-and-search operation could have helped intercept the assailants.
The MLA further alleged that the attackers could have been apprehended had security personnel acted promptly along routes leading towards Camp Sinai.
