Mission “Go To Village” launched in remotest village

 With a mission to involve active participation of villagers in development activities of the government, the mission – Go to Village was launched at the remotest village – Konphung Village of Tamei Sub-division, Tamenlong District by Tamei MLA Awongbou Newmei as chief guest.
The program was also attended by Tamenglong ADC Chairman Namsinrei Panmei, ADC Members Liangpibou, ADC members Ramningle, SG Pamei, Commissioner Fishery Govt of Manipur and “Go to Village” mission incharge T Pamei, ADM Tamenlong Lamabam Kirankumar, SDO Tamenglong Kachamthai Faiga Gangmei, SDO Tamei Robertsem, SDO Tousem Khupboi Aimol and SDPO of Tamenglong Josiah.
Awangbou Newmei urged all the village leaders and chiefs, civil society and NGOs to be more sincere in bringing development in the village while the government are putting all effort to bring development at the door step. He also advised all public to give full cooperation to the district level officers to bring peace and development.
Banking, road, electricity, telecommunications will be his top priority in bringing this development through this mission “Khun-gang Chatshe” in Tamei sub division added the chief guest of the program.
Awongbou also expressed his sincere thanks to all the district level officers of Tamenglong district in making this mission program a grand success, he also urged to give their valuable service to the people of Tamenglong in particular.
In the meantime, District Social Welfare Officer Tamenglong AS Ribonson, said that there are five schemes implemented under his department including IGNOAP, IGNWPS, IGNDPS, CMST and MOAPS. He informed that there are scheme for disabled person in this department.
ICPS DPO Tamenglong Ng Randhoni Devi also spokes on the occasion and informed the gathering that there are three schemes under her department including Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yoana for pregnant and Lactating mother, skill training for tailoring, wool, knitting & embroidery under welfare training institute and sponsorship for school going children under the age of 18 year under ICPS.
Health department represented by Chief Medical Officer Tamenglong Dr Chambo Gonmei informed that there is new health insurance scheme of CMST of worth Rs. 2 lacs (cashless transaction) and another Ayusman Bharat with Rs. 5 lacs.
During this program CAF & PD department Inspector RN Ngaraipam informed that ration card holders must link their aadhar with the ration card. He also distributed LP gas for two beneficiaries of Konphung village through chief guest, Awangbou Newmei. RN Ngaraipam further informed that atleast 16 households have been given LP gas connection.
Zonal Education Officer, Tamenglong Gaidonlung also shared that under his department there is scheme for disable person providing hearing impairment kit. Apart from distributing of free text book and note book, school uniform, serving midday meal there is also a special training for school drop out students to bring them back to main stream of education.
Forest department Tamenglong represented by RO Hitler informed that there are several scheme under his department including national bamboo mission, national afforestation, green India, compensatory afforestation, Amur falcon, etc.
Under the PHED department there is a programme Swatch Bharata mission (SBM) for construction of individual household latrine. Construction of household latrine mission will be completed by 15 May, lamented PHED AE Gaijinlung Dangmei. He also informed the gathering that Konphung and nearby villages will declare Open Defecation Free (ODF) village very soon.
Handloom and Textile department of Tamenglong also distribute free cotton seeds package to eight beneficiaries.
During this “Go to village” mission program most of the government departments of Tamenglong district opened their stall and explained to the general public about their on-going benefit schemes.
