Missing woman found by Assam Rifles in Sangaithel

The 26-year-old woman who went missing from Sangaithel Awang Leikai in Imphal West was found by Assam Rifles personnel early this morning and subsequently handed over to the local MLA.

Ngangbam Nanao had reportedly gone missing after moving towards the Khoken area, prompting local residents, police and security personnel to launch a search operation.

Assam Rifles personnel located Nanao during a foot patrol in the area in the early hours of today. She was later handed over to the local MLA in the presence of local residents and Manipur Police personnel.

The incident had triggered concern among residents of Sangaithel Awang Leikai, with search efforts involving local residents, the MLA and security personnel.

Nanao was subsequently reunited with her family.
