Missing minor girl found dead in Jiribam

Jiribam, Sept 22:

A dead body of a missing minor girl of around 8 years in Lalpani Pt-II village of Jiribam District was found dead in a gorge nearby the village.
According to family report to the media person, the girl was missing around 4 pm yesterday, while they were searching for the girl in and around the village, some of the people discovered the dead body of the girl lying in a gorge which is behind the rubber farm at the West Kashimpur (Balijuri) village.
Later, the villagers reported to the police and the body of the girl was recovered by the police at around 10:00 pm of the previous night.
The distance of the place where the dead body was found is around a half kilometer from the deceased house.
According to police, the deceased body will send to Imphal for post-mortem so as to confirm the cause of death.
However, the family of the deceased suspect that there might be some foul play with the girl.
The Superintendent of Jiribam Police, Ksh. Ravikumar Singh (IPS) himself along with the official team visited the deceased family today and assured them that the district police will take up necessary action. An F.I.R has been registered at Jiribam police station in this regard.
