Sixteen students from Peace and Freedom Academy in Thoubal Haokha, who had gone missing from the school’s boarding facility, have been safely recovered. The students, all in Class X, disappeared under mysterious circumstances, prompting a swift response from authorities.
In the early morning, around 4 AM, school authorities noticed their absence and promptly filed a missing complaint at Thoubal Police Station. Later, the school’s principal, Jotin Salam, filed a missing report.
Acting quickly, the Arambai Tengol Unit 1’s QRT Mobile Team, in coordination with Thoubal Police, launched a search operation. According to a TATA driver, the students were reportedly seen heading towards Lishamlok Village in Senapati District. By 1:30 PM, the QRT Mobile Team located the missing students and brought them back safely.
Upon their return, the students were taken to the AT Unit 1 office in Thoubal Nongangkhong for counseling before being reunited with their guardians and school authorities at the police station. The recovery was made possible through the concerted efforts of the Private School Development Council (PSDC) Thoubal and the Arambai Tengol Unit 1 team.
Principal Jotin Salam, alongside PSDC Thoubal members, thanked everyone involved for their swift action, ensuring the students’ safe return. They emphasized the importance of resolving any misunderstandings and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the students.
