Miscreants burn three trucks at Sekmai

Unknown miscreants set ablaze 3 trucks at Sekmai in Imphal West district today morning.
Report reaching here said that three (3) LPG ferrying trucks came from the Gas Bottling plant at Sekmai Nongthonband at around 8 am today towards the National Highway and as the trucks were trying to proceed towards Kangpokpi side, some miscreants halted and took the trucks towards the ground of Awang Sekmai Mayai Leikai. The miscreants then reportedly set ablaze the three trucks bearing registration numbers MN 0 6T – 2239, MN01 AA – 3900 and MN01 – 8128 at around 10 am.
On seeing smokes coming from the area locals of Sekmai area rushed to the site and found the trucks burnt. The local reportedly informed about the incident to the police. Following that, a team state police led by Imphal West SP Dr. S Ibomcha along with BSF and CRPF rushed to the site. A fire tender also came to douse the fire.
Drivers of the three trucks were had reported to be escaped from the scene.
