The Sports Ministry on Saturday set September 20 as the deadline for submitting online applications for National Sports Awards 2022. Applications and eligibility of athletes for the awards can be checked and submitted online at www.dbtyas-sports.gov.in by September 20, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.
The Directorate of Youth, Affairs and Sports, Government of Manipur also released a press statement in connection with the invitation of application for the Sports Award, 2022. In a statement released by the Directorate of Youth, Affairs and Sports, Government, it stated that with reference to the letters from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Department of Sports, vide letter no. K15012/5/2022-SP-IV(i),(iii), (iv), (v) & (vi) dated August 27, 2022, the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Manipur is inviting applications from eligible sportspersons for the awards i) Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award; ii) Arjuna Award; ii) Dronacharya Award; iii) Dronacharya Award; iv) Dhyan Chand Award for Lifetime Achievement in sports & games, and v) Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar. The awards will be given for outstanding achievements or service in the field of sports and games.
