Minister Th. Biswajit initiates Covid Vaccination Camps of Thongju AC

As part of ongoing activity to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic in Thongju Assembly Constituency (AC), mass vaccination drive was held today at Uchekon Nongpok GP, Thongju part-1 GP, Thongju part-II GP, Khongman GP, Torban Kshetri Leikai GP, Bashikhong GP, Uchekon Nongchup GP respectively under the initiative of Thongju AC MLA Works Minister Th Biswajit.
During the vaccination, Minister Th Biswajit handed over edible items to the people who came out for Covid-19 vaccine at the centre. The Vaccination is organized by Thongju Kendra Voluntary workers covid-19 Relief Committee (TKRC) and Thongju Kendra Gram Panchayat Level covid-19 Task Force and under the aegis of District Administration of Imphal East.
Speaking on the occasion, Th. Biswajit said that he had already jab Covid-19 vaccine but said that without vaccination of those eligible, getting vaccination of only 1 or 2 will not save us all from Covid-19 attack, so with mass vaccination Covid-19 can be defeated. He also erected hoardings at different public places of the Gram Panchayat area of the Thongju AC for awareness of “Vaccines for All, Free for All,” as a vaccination campaign.
Thongju Kendra Voluntary workers Covid-19 Relief Committee Executive member Bhubol Sougrakpam expressed that the 27 places have been covered under mass covid-19 testing cum vaccination of Thongju AC starting from July 13 up to 22 July. The mass vaccination of the Thongju AC targeted 31000 people of Thongju AC. To date, 18,500 people undertook vaccinations.
The mass-vaccination camps were organized today as a part of the social welfare activity and health care initiative by Minister Th Biswajit for the public of his Thongju AC while maintaining SoP.
