Minister O. Lukhoi lays foundation stone for Augmentation of Water Supply Scheme

Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Tourism Minister, also the local MLA of Wangoi AC, Oinam Lukhoi Singh today laid foundation stone for Augmentation of Wangoi Water Supply Scheme, Augmentation of Thongkhong Laxmi Bazar Water Supply Scheme, Augmentation of Samurou Water Supply Scheme and Construction of Treatment Unit at Paobitek (Z-II). It is taken up by Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Government of Manipur under New Development Bank (NDB) funding.
Addressing the gatherings, Minister Lukhoi said that the water supply scheme is mainly taken up with a vision of the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi to provide safe drinking water to every household. He assured that through this project safe and clean drinking water will be available for all.
Oinam Lukhoi also highlighted various welfare schemes and projects taken up by the Government to uplift the lives of the people and for inclusive development.
N. Sanjit Kumar, Executive Engineer, Imphal West, PHED, O. Somorjit. A.E., Imphal West, PHED and officials of the Department also graced the ceremony.
During the occasion, Chief Minister Gi Halshel Tenbang (CMHT) health card was also handed over to more than 100 beneficiaries.
