Imphal, July 3: “Work hard with discipline and determination”. That’s the advice given by Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Shri Karam Shyam to the students during the One Day Legal Awareness cum Meritorious Student’s Award Presentation held at Labour Rest House, CAF&PD Campus, Sangaiprou. The function was organised by CAF&PD Labourers’ Welfare Association (CAF&PDLWA) in collaboration with Voice of Indigenous People, Manipur (Kangleipak) and sponsored by Manipur State Legal Service authority and District Legal Service Authority, Imphal West.
Speaking as the Chief Guest of the function Minister Karam Shyam said that, key ingredients for success are hard work, determination, planning and discipline. He also said that, the performance of the students reaffirms that, nothing is impossible if one has the will to succeed. He also appreciated the parents/guardians of the meritorious students for guiding them in the right way by teaching them good values. The Minister also advised the students to use their time wisely and to stay away from bad habits.
Minister Karam Shyam gave the meritorious students prizes and tree saplings. The Minister also gave Rs 5,000/- (five thousand only) to each student as a mark of encouragement. Legal experts gave their speech as part of the function. Also attending the function were Shri Ranjan Yumnam, Director, CAF&PD, Shri Surchandra Sanjenbam, President, CAF&PDLWA and Premjit Moirangthem, President, Helping Hands for People
