Minister Biswajit spent time with children and inmates at Relief camp

Power Minister Th. Biswajit today shares his time with the children staying at the relief camp opened at Ideal College Akampat in his assembly constituency today morning. The Minister also organised a grant feast at Shri Shri Govindaji temple at Palace compound for those people taking shelter at Ideal College Akampat relief camp today. A total of 720 people attended the grand feast and expressed gratitude to Minister Biswajit for allowing them to pray to Lord Krishna and Radha at Govindaji temple. Minister Th. Biswajit also attended Swasti Puja of two children born at the relief camp opened at Khuman Lampak Youth Hostel today morning.
Since the outbreak of the violence on May 3, seven hundred and twenty people from Moreh and Churachandpur areas have been taking shelter at the Ideal College Akampat camp opened under the supervision of the Thongju Assembly constituency MLA Th. Biswajit, who is also the Minister of Power. Minister Biswajit also shares sometimes with the children staying at the relief camp during study hours. The Minister took stock of the condition of the children staying at the relief camp.
Dr. Thongam Tilananda, member of the Relief camp committee thanks all those people who extended support in the running of the relief camp.
One inmate taking shelter at the relief camp said that he has been staying in the relief camp for 55 days after he escaped from Churachandpur.
At Khuman Lampak Youth Hostel, Minister Th. Biswajit attended the Swasti Puja of two children. The relief camp opened at the Youth Hostel was particularly for pregnant ladies. It was initiated by State BJP President A. Sarda Devi. The mothers of the two children are from Moirang Itham and Churachandpur respectively.
