Minister Biswajit interacts with youths of Ngarumphum village, lays foundation stone for indigenous park, garden and Home stay

Minister Thongam Biswajit, who is charge of PWD, IPR, PR & RD, Trade and Commerce and Handloom today laid foundation indigenous park, indigenous garden and home stay at Ngarumphum village at Chadong road in Kamjong district.
Speaking on the occasion Minister Biswajit calls on the people to stand united as unity is the only way to move forward. He said that development of an indigenous park, garden and home stay is also related with the Prime Minister’s ‘vocal for local’.
“Since time immemorial we have been living together as one, but due to artificial means our unity has been distorted”, The Minister said while appealing from any attempt by vested interested people to distort the unity of this state.
Biswajit also recalled on how the people of the region have been divided by the British colonial ruler. He said that the people have been divided into hill and plain people by the British for their administration convenience and the same is being inherited by some selfish politicians.
“This should be understand and we should not allow anybody to play with our peace loving people” Biswajit said. On the misconception of uniting with various political parties, Biswajit said that some people who do not want the people of the state to be united blamed the government for going hand to hand with some political party. This is because they only want the problem and do not want a solution, Biswajit said.
“Let us focus on solution and not on problem”, the Minister appealed the gathering.
Later after the foundation stone laying function, Biswajit interacted with the youths of the Ngarumphum village and surroundings and discussed about the development of the area. Biswajit said that youths are the future of Manipur and we need to empower the youths of the region.
The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by Ashang Kasar chairman and MD Indigenous hills Pvt Ltd as president and Shangrei Jajo headman of Ngarumphung village as guest of honour.
Chairman and MD Indigenous Hills Pvt Ltd, Ashang kasar expressed that Ngarumphung village is just 25 km from Imphal city and the village also adjacent to Ukhrul,Kamjong, Kangpokpi and Imphal East District. And the area settled with different communities peacefully. Now Ngarumphum village is the gateway of the tourist destinations at Mapithel Dam and Chadong.
