Minister Biswajit, CIBOTang Shangjun discuss ways to promote trade and agro based activities

Kunming, June, 21: Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industries, ThBiswajit Singh called on Chief International Business Officer of Yunnan State Farms Agribusiness Group CO LTD Tang Shangjun, Tuesday evening, and discussed ways to promote trade and Agro Based Activities ties between India and China. The minister met the Chief International Business Officer at the latter’s Dongfeng East Road official residence in Kunming, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China.
During the meeting,the Chief International Business officer expressed his interest in investing in certain prospective agro-based activities in Manipur.
Tang Shangjun also expressed his desire to visit Manipur.
During the meeting, ThBiswajit and Chief International Business Officer of Yunnan State Farms Agribusiness Group CO LTD Tang Shangjun discussed free movement of Chinese traders in Manipur.
Tang Shangjun also drew the Minister’s attention on PAC (prior Approval Category). He further reassured to promote trade between the two countries.
It may be mentioned that a team from the State led by Th. Biswajit Singh, Hon’ble Minister for Commerce, Trade and Industry attended the South & South East Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair, 2017 at the Dianchi International Convention and International Sistership pavilion at Kunming, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China.
The Minister is being  accompanied by L. Lakher, Principal Secretary Commerce and industry, M Luikham, Director Commerce and Industry, Smt. L. Inunganbi Devi, Corporator Imphal Municipal Corporation Ward No. 18, L. Bashanta Sharma, Media Coordinator to Hon’ble Chief Minister Manipur and Chandrakishore Singh, President, North East Federation on International Trade, Manipur Chapter.
