A press release by the Meitei Leepun said, “Meitei Leepun is not collecting any money from the public as donation. We are supported by our well-wishers and friends who believe in our cause. Recently we have come to our notice that some people who are not related to Meitei Leepun are collecting donations from Shops and Offices.”
The press release informs the general public not to entertain any unknown person or individual who comes to collect donations. It warns the perpetrator not to collect money from the general public in Meitei Leepun’s name. If any individual is caught doing such nefarious activity, he shall bear responsibility for the consequences, the press release added.
The press release informed the general public of this matter and if any such person came for donation, please inform the matter to Meitei Leepun personnel or lodge a complaint to the nearest police station. And the person shall be liable to face legal consequences.
