Meitei Leepun has strongly condemned the recent statement made by BJP MLA Paolienlal Haokip on Twitter, in which he asserted that the “Kuki-Zo political aspiration remains a Union Territory with Legislature” and that “the resignation of the Chief Minister is just a precondition for talks.”
In a statement, Meitei Leepun questioned the MLA’s credentials, alleging that he has a fraudulent legacy data record and an alleged illegal immigrant. The organization stated that if the remarks are true, they indicate a deliberate attempt by certain MLAs to destabilize the N. Biren Singh-led government in collusion with illegal immigrants to destabilize and disintegrate Manipur
Meitei Leepun further asserted that those involved in such efforts must take full responsibility for any untoward incidents resulting from their actions. The group reiterated its firm stance against any attempt to fragment Manipur and issued a stern warning against individuals acting on behalf of illegal immigrants.
