Meira Paibis of Langjing area has begun counter blockade at Langjing area by stopping goods vehicles coming along the Imphal- Jiribam road towards Churachandpur district.
A goods truck carrying edible items was stopped by the Meira Paibis of Langjing, Moirang Hanuba, Heinoubok, Tabungkhok, etc came out on the street and started checking the goods trucks and stopped all vehicles that are going towards Chuachandpur.
Talking to media persons, a Meira paibi said that the Kuki had cut off the NH 2 (Imphal -Dimapur road) which is the lifeline of Manipur for over 40 days. The counter blockade is started in protest against the prolonged blockade along the NH -2 by the Kuki group. She said that the counter blockade will continue the counter blockade by checking all vehicles that are going towards Churachandpur district or towards Tengnoupal district.
