As a part of the movement against illicit drugs and trafficking, volunteers of Thoubal Awang Leikai Meira Paibi Lup, nabbed a drug user yesterday at around 9 pm. The person was caught red handed while he was fixing the drug by the meira paibis. When searched the residence of the drug user, the Meira Paibi recovered Heroin No.4 and a syringe from his possession. The drug user along with the recovered drugs and syringe were handed over to Thoubal Police Station.
According to the President of Awang Leikai Meira Paibi Lup, Ak. Sundari, the drug user has been identified as Kongbrailakpam Pratin (22 yrs) son of Krishnamohon from the same area.
