Meeting Held On Rationalisation Of Polling Stations

Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur District PawanYadav chaired a meeting over rationalisation of polling stations in Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts today at Conference Hall, Mini-secretariat, Churachandpur.

VungzaginValte, Minister (TA & Hills, GAD and Transport) and in-charge of Churachandpur and Pherzawl district, HangkhanlianValte, MLA, Mannuamching DC/Pherzawl, ADCs/EROs, SDOs/ AEROs, representatives of political parties and officials from Election Department attended the meeting.

The political parties representatives were informed in details about the number of polling stations which are to be rationalized and name correction of various polling stations were decided in the meeting. The meeting also decided to create additional polling booths in those areas where the number of voters exceeds the upper limit of 1,400 and 1,200 voters.
