New Delhi, Aug 17:
MD/MS, MBBS/BDS In order to provide benefits to OBC category students in admission in higher educational institutions, a constitutional amendment was made in 2021 providing 27% reservation for OBC category.
Accordingly, in 2021-22, the seats in medical / dental colleges should be increased over the years to accommodate this additional 27% OBC reservation. So that the total number of seats available for non-reserved and reserved category do not reduce. In the state seats, however, this benefit has not been extended so far so that all categories can avail the benefit. So these seats should be increased in the state as well as all over India so that no category is harmed by this OBC reservation. The demand has been made to the National Medical Commission of all parents to increase the number of seats in the medical college.
