The Students’ Union of Maharaj Budhachandra College (MB College) has approached the college principal multiple times regarding student welfare, but each time their requests were allegedly denied. In response, the Union has issued a three-day ultimatum demanding the replacement of the current principal.
In a press conference held today at the MB College Students’ Union office, General Secretary Md. Sahaz Khan stated that the Union had consistently tried to engage with the principal on issues affecting students. However, their proposals—including organizing a debate and a dance competition—were reportedly dismissed without consideration.
“The principal does not take the Union seriously, despite our repeated efforts to work for the benefit of the student community,” General Secretary Md. Sahaz Khan said.
Previously, the MB college students Union had submitted a memorandum outlining their demands to the Department of Education, specifically to the Principal Secretary and the Director. They requested the appointment of a new principal who prioritizes student welfare.
General Secretary Md. Sahaz Khan further alleged that the Department of Education did not provide any guidance to the current principal, resulting in continued opposition to the Students’ Union. He also criticized the vice principal, claiming that he consistently opposes all Union initiatives. “This is very unfortunate for the students,” the General Secretary Md. Sahaz khan said.
General Secretary Md. Sahaz Khan also questioned the utilization of college funds, asking for transparency on how the money has been spent on development. According to him, the principal has yet to respond to these concerns.
The MB College Students’ Union has reiterated its three-day ultimatum for the replacement of the Principal, warning that further action will be considered if their demand is not met.
