MAYOL’s march reaches Sawombung

MAYOL’s long march entered its 11th day today. A public meeting was held at Sawombung High School, which was attended by Dr. Homen Thangjam from the Department of Political Science at IGTU, N. Chetan, Chairman of the Long March for Regeneration, Asem Prince, Convenor of MAYOLS, Memcha Leima, Secretary General of Kanglei Ema Lup, Konthoujam Parbha, Secretary General of Apunbakeithal Senai Lup.
Asem Prince, Convenor of MAYOL, expressed gratitude for the journey and appreciated the people’s support. He appealed to the general public to participate in the conflict.
Dr. Homen Thangjam attended the meeting as the main speaker. He quoted the great philosopher Arnold Toynbee, saying, “Civilizations die from suicide, not by murder.” He also emphasized the need to understand geopolitics.
After the meeting, the marchers continued towards Pungdongbam, Loushangkhong, Sekta, Taretkhul, Lamboikhul, Uyumpok, Tiger Camp, and Sagolmang, where they will stay for the night.
