MAYOL launches year-long “Politics: Vote for National Regeneration” Campaign

The Manipur Youth League (MAYOL) today announced a year-long programme titled “Politics: Vote for National Regeneration Campaign,” aimed at promoting political awareness and encouraging responsible participation in democratic processes among the youth of Manipur.
Addressing a press conference, MAYOL President Asem Prince said the campaign seeks to inspire young citizens to engage actively in politics while fostering a sense of accountability and commitment to national development. “Our objective is to cultivate informed and responsible voters who can contribute meaningfully to the democratic and social progress of the nation,” he said.
The first inaugural function of the campaign is scheduled for January 16, 2026, at the Auditorium Hall of Manipur University. The event will be organised in collaboration with the Manipur University Students’ Union (MUSU), and is expected to bring together students, youth leaders, academicians, and civil society representatives.
Asem Prince highlighted that the year-long programme will include a series of workshops, seminars, awareness drives, and interactive sessions designed to equip young voters with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed political choices. He further stated that the initiative underscores MAYOL’s commitment to strengthening democratic engagement and nurturing leadership qualities among the youth.
The organisation has called upon students, young professionals, and community leaders across Manipur to participate actively in the campaign, describing it as a step toward building a politically conscious and socially responsible generation.
