Mass Cleanliness Drive held across Senapati District

A Mass Cleanliness Drive was conducted across Senapati District including Sub- Divisional Areas today in connection with the forthcoming 80th Independence Day Celebration, 2026.

The cleanliness drive commenced in the morning with the active participation of District Level Officers (DLOs), officials and staff of various departments and offices under the District Administration. Different departments were assigned specific locations for undertaking cleanliness activities, including government office premises, District Headquarters areas, Astro Turf Ground vicinity, “I Love Senapati” area, Mini Secretariat Complex, Multipurpose Hall, Transformer area, Election EVM/VVPAT Warehouse and other designated public spaces.

Schools, health institutions and banking institutions also joined the cleanliness campaign, while tenants of Government quarters, canteens and shops participated by cleaning and maintaining the surroundings of their respective premises.

The initiative was aimed at promoting cleanliness, civic responsibility and community participation across the district and creating a clean and conducive environment ahead of the Independence Day celebrations.

Meanwhile, the District Administration distributed Tricolour National Flags to District Level Officers and departmental representatives at the Deputy Commissioner Office’s Complex, Senapati as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The initiative seeks to encourage wider public participation in the celebration of Independence Day and foster a sense of pride and respect for the National Flag.
