MARSAC organises workshop on Disaster Management System

One Day workshop on “Disaster Management System” organised jointly by Manipur Remote Sensing Application Centre (MARSAC) and Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal was held today at the Counting Hall of DC Office, Thoubal. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal L.Radhakanta was the Chief Guest of the inaugural function. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of remote sensing applications in minimizing the damage caused by flood, landslides, earthquake and other natural calamities. 

Scientists of MARSAC also spoke on the various topics like Landslide Hazard, Flood Hazard and Earthquake Hazard  etc. 

SDO, Thoubal, Binita Ngangbam and Nodiachand Singh Scientist C, (MARSAC) were the President and Guest of Honour of the inaugural function. 

Elected members of ZP/GP, Councillors of Thoubal  Municipal Council, SDOs, BDOs, DLOs and DRDA official/staff of Thoubal District attended the workshop.
