Proscribed group Maoist Communist Party, Manipur in a press release today stated that the historical Kangla has become a place for earning easy money by Contractors and Officers of Horticulture Department. It further stated that many who are involved in beautifying Kangla have dug gold mine and become rich overnight by looting the money meant for developing the historic fort. The statement said that works done by them is not satisfactory. It further said, it has come to its knowledge that many officers have swindle money in terms of Crore in the name of development and beautifying Kangla. It said stern action will be taken against those who do not accept their involvement in swindling money meant for beautification of Kangla within a short period of time.
