Maoist to mark Manipur Red Day

Maoist Communist Party, Manipur to celebrate ‘Manipur Red Day’ on August 29 in remembrance of its late cadre Moirangthem Ibomcha, who was killed in 2012 during an encounter between the outfit and a team of Imphal East Police Commando at Nongmaijing Ching.
The armed group in a release extends its revolutionary salute to its former founder Vice Chairman, Ngamkholet Baite alias Ngamlet Baite of Tupijang village of Chandel and Militia Commander of the outfit Hijam Pritam alias Chifeng of Nongren Khul, Imphal East.
It also said that with the celebration of Manipur Red Day this year, the party would launch new revolutionary movement for the future generation.
Maoist also informed that its revolutionary the monthly publication of the party Red Thunder would be available to the mass and steps have been taken up to ensure availability of the mouthpiece journal by all.
While extending greetings to all on the occasion of the Manipur Red Day, Maoist wished to bring peace and prosperity in Manipur.
