Maoist talks tough; says no change seen at RIMS

Maoist Communist Party, Manipur today said that it will start monitoring the activities of the newly appointed Director, as it is her role to bring about a change in the Institution. In a press statement, the outfit said that they have been demanding for a change in the institution by providing affordable treatment for poor and working class people of the state since the time of the corrupt former Director Dr. Sekharjit, however even as the director has been replaced two times no change has been notice in regard of treatment to poor people. The Maoist Manipur had blasted bomb and even called general strike to bring a positive change in the Institution and even help the people in exposing the wrongs of the corrupt former Director Dr. Sekharjit and ended the one family administration in the Institution. Since then two directors has been changed including the present one but other than changing the post of the Director no development is being seen. “This is the responsibility of the Director and the Maoist will start monitoring the activities of her to assure better health care facilities to the working class people of the state”, the Maoist statement said. On the other hand, the rebel group also said that they had information about the wife of the former director trying for the post of the RIMS Superintendent post. It said that none from among the family of the former director should hold important post at the institution.
