Rebel group Maoist Communist Part, Manipur today alleged the director of Arts and Culture department, government of Manipur as reactionary. In a press communiqué the outfit said that after the group had found out the misappropriation of fund amounting to around 1.5 crore for digitization of archival materials with a fraud firm, the director has been warned by the outfit to clarify over the matter. The Director contacted the organization through various civil society leaders and ultimately the outfit decided to give her some times for correcting the wrong. The outfit however said that instead of cooperating the Maoist the direction in conspiracy with an advocate who had contacted the matter had started hunting the cadres of the outfit in the name of suppressing the peoples’ agitation for implementation of ILPS. The outfit said that on July 16 a meeting of the Special Central Committee had decided to declare the Director as reactionary and had directed the Central Military Council to take action against her.
