Imphal, Dec 28: Maoist Communist Party, Manipur has condemned the planting of bomb at the office of local evening newspaper Pandam on 26 December, 2016. In a release, the outfit said that since its inception Maoist has not done anything against the media community in the state. The attack on media community is an attempt to divert the movement of the armed groups. The outfit will stand for the protection and safeguarding the rights and interest of the media. Showing solidarity with Editors Guild and All Manipur Working Journalist Union, Manipur the armed outfit said that it would extend all possible help in the further course of steps taken by the two apex media bodies of the state.
