On its 4th Raising Day, Maoist Communist Party, Manipur has extended its revolutionary salute to people around the globe specially the people of Manipur.
According to a release by Nonglen Meitei, Secretary Publicity and Propaganda of the armed outfit, the party has been formed by the members of erstwhile Manipur Forward Youth Front (MAFYF) on August 10, 2011. Since then it has been wedging the ‘People’s War’ against the colonial forces.
India is known for violation of human rights by international communities. ‘Operation Green Hunt’ in Maoist operated areas, suppression of people’s movement with the imposition of Armed Forces Special Powers Act- 1958 in Northeastern states, its role in war crimes around the world are some of the known atrocities against human rights.
While, orchestrated massacres against minority communities, recent capital punishment to a Muslim called Yakub Memon and establishment of Hindu terrorist are some of the blaring examples of India’s crime against minorities and stand on secularism, said the outfit.
It also claimed that India’s development projects in the state of Manipur like Tipaimukh Dam, Loktak Hydro Project, Mapithel Dam are all ‘anti-development’ and ‘anti-national’ activities. People are suffering due to such development projects undertaken in different parts of the country.
India is making all effort to become a Super Power, while its people are ‘Super Poor’. The United Nation’s Millennium Development Goal (MDG) reported that India’s culture of not having toilet has soiled the beautiful world.
Stating that the ongoing movement for protection of indigenous people is ‘explosion of self-esteem’, Maoist said that the future of indigenous people is bleak in a country like India where its motto is ‘One India One Nation’.
Seeking support from all, it said that without people’s uprising the fight for also appealed to the people of Manipur to stand united and to fight for independence.
