Maoist calls 12 hours General strike on Nov 21

Maoist Communist Party, Manipur has declares 12 hour general strike from 5 am of November 21, the day at which Sangai festival is scheduled to begin. In press statement, the outfit said that the general strike is being called against the mismanagement of the of the Imphal Urban Co-operative bank (ICUB). It said that the bank has been misusing the money of the poor people besides massive practice of corruption by the board of directors of the Bank. The BOD appoints many staffs from backdoors without following the guideline, the statement added. It said it will not stop until justice has been brought to the functioning of the ICUB.  The Moaist statement said that the organisation had highlighted the dirty deeds in the RIMS and now the matter has been investigating by the CBI.
