Maoist calls 12 hours bandh on Aug. 1

Maoist Communist Party Manipur, has threatened to call 12 hours bandh on August 1 demanding immediate action against the Director Arts and Culture, Shusila for her alleged role in the misappropriation of huge amount of fund for digitization of Archive materials when she was the Deputy Director of the Archive. In a statement the Maoist  said that if the Director herself fails to tender resignation by July 30 or if the government fails to take action against her on or before July 30, the Maoist will call 12 hours general strike in the state   on August 1 from 5 am.
