Mao villagers shifts market at Imphal

Mao Council Imphal, with assistance from various social organisations and public bodies opened a market shed for the people of Mao to market their merchandise at Nagamapal. The initiative was taken up after the Southern Angami peoples’ Organisation reportedly prevented the people of Mao from selling their products at Dimapur. A large number of people thronged the market shed as soon as it opened as various exotic and uncommon products were put up for sale. The move has received applause from a wide section of the public and is poised to continue. A Kholi, General Secretary, Mao Council Imphal expressed satisfaction at the positive response of the public and said that the market will continue with more vendors from Mao expressing their desire to sell their products at the market which comprises of a wide variety of vegetables, fruits and flowers.
