Maniwood sports club is all set to organise Maniwood Invitation football Cup in connection with its second foundation day. The fanfare football extravaganza will begin from February 23 at WAC ground Singjamei Waikhom Leikai.
The event is likely to be a centre of attraction as almost all the Manipur’s celebrity actors and those behind the screen are taking part.
Announcing this to media, Lokendra Takhellambam, Chairman Organising Committee said that in four teams – including AMMIK FC, AMFIMPA, CINEMATOGRAPHY Assn. and Cine Actors FC will be participating in this tournament. The theme of the tournament is ‘unity is strength, health is wealth.’ The organizer also arranges an exhibition match between ISTV football team and Maniwood Football Team on the final day. The tournament is being organised to promote sporting spirit among the people of the state, particularly the grown up community.
