Two Manipuri swimmers who were among the 30 swimmers of Indian Swimming Team participating in the Indo – Sri Lanka Invitational Masters Swimming Meet, 2016 have bag medals at different swimming events.
The two Manipuri swimmers are Salam Jayenta and Laikhuram Lenin Singh.
Salam Jayenta bags one silver medal at 50m breast stroke and one bronze medal at 100m individual medley while Laikhuram Lenin Singh bags one gold medal at 100m free style and two silver medals at individual medley and 100m back stroke in the yesterday event.
Salam Jayenta is competing in 100m breast stroke and Laikhuram Lenin Singh is competing in the final match of 100m butterfly and 200m free style, at today’s event at 6:30 pm.
