Manipur University Community jointly observed Patriots day; paid fitting tribute to the martyrs

Even though the Manipur University Community comprising of the Manipur University Students’ Union , Manipur University teachers’ Association and Manipur University Staffs Association are on agitation demanding removal of the VC AP Pandey for the last 75 days, the MU community spare time to pay tributes to the martyrs of the state who had laid down for the protection of the erstwhile nation fighting the British Empire in 1891.

The observance held at the seminar Hall of MUTA was graced by Prof. M. Mani Meetei , Dept. of English Prof. N. Rajmuhon Singh , Dept of Chemistry, Prof. Ch. Yashwanta Singh, Dept. of Linguistics, Prof. I Tomba Singh, President MUTA and M. Dayamand Singh President MUSU.

Speakers on the occasion recalled the spirit of the departed souls for fighting against all odds in order to protect the freedom of the nation. The gathering today committed to sustain the spirit of sacrifice for freedom and reignite the bond unity among all in Manipur University in particular and Manipur in general.
