Manipur Thinkers Forum holds conversation on idea of Manipur

In a bid to foster deeper understanding of the concept of Manipur, the Manipur Thinkers Forum organized a one-day Media Conclave titled “A Resilient Manipur: Conversation On The Concept of Manipur” at Imphal Hotel. The conclave featured two insightful sessions that delved into various facets of Manipur’s identity and resilience. In the first session, esteemed speakers Prof. Chongtham Priyoranjan from Manipur University and Prof. Bhagat Oinam from Jawaharlal Nehru University led discussions on “A Bridge Between Generations: Reconceptualizing and Conceptualizing Manipur.” Their academic insights shed light on the evolving perceptions and interpretations of Manipur’s identity over time.
Following the engaging discussions in the first session, the second session brought together a diverse panel of experts to explore the theme further. Dr. Farizudin from Imphal College, Dr. Asheema Haobijam from Tele MANAS (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India), Miss Mangaleibi from Manipur Judicial Services, and Chetan Yenshembam, a Research Scholar from DMU, engaged in a dynamic conversation moderated by Dr. Homen Thangjam, Associate Professor at IGNTU.
