Research by Dr. Laishram Shantikumar Singh and Dr. Thounaojam Salvia, residents of Khangabok in Thoubal district, Manipur, has contributed to fungal taxonomy and Himalayan biodiversity research.

The findings are featured in Fungal Diversity, Volume 136 (2026), under the title Notes on Worldwide New Species and Records. The publication is available at https://doi.org/10.65390/fdiv.2026.136019.
