Manipur progressed due to BJP rule – CM N.Biren

Imphal,Nov.3:

BJP is a party that endeavours to promote understanding and peace to usher in good governance as the public cannot be ruled by coercion. The hallmark of a true leader is to make sincere efforts to bring understanding. If conflicts and disputes are to be left unaddressed then the necessity for a leader does not arise. Manipur has managed to move forward ever since BJP came to power in the state. Chief Minister Biren made these remarks during the Political Conference held at Lilong today as part of the Election Campaign of Independent candidate Md.Abdul Nasir who is contesting the upcoming bye election which is scheduled for the 7th of this month from Lilong AC.
Reiterating the declaration that there are many deserving candidates in the BJP led government, the Chief Minister states that there were attempts to lure these persons into the wrong path but the voice of the people have managed to prevent them, appealing the public to stop supporting those who present themselves as people’s representatives in elaborate attire while scheming to kill and murder on the sly. Putting forward his suggestion to stop using the term Minority as we are of the same lineage, Biren also urged those present to work together in earnest so that there is no one living in poverty, starvation or out of work, and to be self sufficient and able to afford for the basic necessities of life which is also the objective of the present BJP-led Government in the state.
Politics is dynamic and changes with time, and even with BJP in power in the state, the decision of Nasir to contest as an independent candidate with the support of BJP will be ridiculed by those who does not understand the reasons behind the decision, but for those who know the reason, the decision is widely appreciated. Revealing the reason behind the decision, Biren said that the step is taken to show the public that politicians are for the welfare of the public and that there is no room for inappropriate action or behaviour from them.
